Bret Michaels’ 2012 Solo Tour Brings Him To Largo

Last time Bret Michaels played Tampa Bay, it was the Tampa Bay Times Forum, along with his pals from Poison, Def Leppard and Lita Ford. The time before that, I think it was Busch Gardens. And then before that, a stop at Tropicana Field.

His next visit will be a lot more cozy: Michaels is bringing his Get Your Rock On Tour 2012 to the Largo Cultural Center on Friday, Oct. 5. Tickets are $59.50, which seems pricey, but really it’s more than fair considering every fan will be sitting nearly in his lap. Nah, the LCC isn’t that small. There are a few hundred seats there, but it’s a great place to see a concert by one of your heroes — especially if you want to sit up close.

When Stuck in the ’80s interviewed Bret a few years ago, he talked about small gigs, where just a dozen or so people would show up. If I know his fans around here, the LCC will easily be packed. And I’m betting Bret sticks around afterward to hobnob and sign autographs. READ MORE
