The 317: Super Traffic Restrictions Begin Tomorrow
Before starting your morning commute Friday, hear this: The morning rush hour marks the beginning of new traffic restrictions — major ones — that will last through Super Bowl 2012.
Don’t say we didn’t warn you.
Here are all closures effective Friday morning:
> Capitol Avenue: Closed from Maryland Street to South Street. (Starting Saturday, Capitol Avenue will be closed from South Street to McCarty Street.)
• TRAFFIC INTERACTIVE: See all the closures and designated routes.
> Illinois Street: Closed from South Street to Maryland Street, with access only to Pan Am Garage, Crowne Plaza Hotel, Omni Hotel, and Union Station.
> Meridian Street: Closed from Maryland Street to Louisiana Street and from Washington Street to Monument Circle.
> Monument Circle: South half will be closed Jan. 27-29 and from Feb. 3-5.
> Pennsylvania Street: Closed from Maryland Street to Georgia Street, with access only to CSX employee parking lot.
> Georgia Street: Closed from Capitol Avenue to Pennsylvania Street
> Jackson Place: Closed from McCrae to Meridian Street
> South Street: Closed from Missouri Street to Capitol Street.
