THE 317: Events in Broad Ripple During The BIG GAME
The Big Game isn’t just for downtown, Broad Ripple Village is getting ready too.
The city says that road closures will make room for what is being called the Broad Ripple Village Super Fest.
There will be live concerts starting on the Thursday before the game, and a tailgate party on Sunday.
Tickets are available online for $25.
We previously reported Broad Ripple Avenue would be closed as part of the celebration. But, Indianapolis Metropolitan Police say the information provided by the Super Village website is incorrect and Broad Ripple Avenue will not be closed.
“It’s probably going to be huge … and it will be fun for all,” said Broad Ripple resident Mike Cook.
The city is also now using way-finding technology to help out with parking. Sensors have been added to 500 parking spaces on Massachusetts Avenue, Broad Ripple and near Monument Circle.
A smartphone application called Parker can be downloaded for free to help people locate available parking spots in the areas where sensors have been added.
The application also has information about parking space time limits, pricing, and whether meters take credit cards or coins.
Parker will be available via iTunes and on the Android Market in late January.
