GOSSIP: Beyonce’s Dad Confronts Accusations
Beyonce’s dad Mathew Knowles has opened up about recent accusations that he has stolen money from his daughter. Mathew filed legal papers last week in Texas — alleging that members of Beyonce’s camp – including Columbia Records, Live Nation and Roc Nation has made “negative comments” about him. According to The Associated Press, Mathew said, “We absolutely have not taken any money from Beyonce, and all dollars will be accounted for. In no way have we stole money. Again, this is about the people who have made these claims – they have to come into the light.”He continued, “The relationship with Beyonce is extremely amicable. I want to make that clear. Where there’s concern is the people that she’s doing business with. I’m challenging all of these folks on integrity, professional integrity.” Mathew added that he doesn’t believe that he was fired because of the allegations that he stole from his daughter. He said that Beyonce completely cleaned house. He said, “She changed almost every aspect of her business.”He continued, “The team ironically appeared to be a cross-pollination of Beyonce’s team, Roc Nation’s team, and Live Nation’s team, who ironically have the most to gain.” When asked if there was a deliberate plan to take him out of the equation, he said: “I’ll let people come to their own conclusion.”Mathew reportedly acknowledged when asked that he and Beyonce have not spoken since she let him go. He said. “We have not had that conversation.” On the record sales of her new album 4, Mathew said, “They put out the record in a vacuum. It makes you believe that there are some artists that don’t need radio. There are some records that don’t need a record label, and Beyonce is one of those artists.”
