GOSSIP: Mtv Does Not Plan on Recasting ‘Jersey Shore’
MTV has confirmed that they are not planning on recasting The Jersey Shore — anytime soon. There had been rumors that too many of the Jersey Shore cast have committed to spin-offs and have been asking for a lot more money than they had originally started at. These demands started rumors that MTV was looking for new members to be cast for Season 6 however, that is simply not so. MTV said, “We love the present cast, and their summer adventures have just begun. We currently have no plans to recast the show.” The current cast reportedly makes $100,000 per episode. Spinoffs are in the works for Snooki and J-Woww, as well as Pauly D.JERSEY SHORE CAST ON LOCKDOWNThe Jersey Shore cast was on lockdown over the weekend. Acccording to TMZ, the cast was getting ready to start shooting Season 5 in New Jersey this week so they were unable to use phones or Internet. They were also unable to see friends or family.The producers wanted to keep the cast “in the zone” after coming back from Italy. Since shooting reportedly starts today — producers reportedly felt it would be better to keep them away from everyone.However, Sammi, Deena and Pauly D had prior engagements tahat could not be cancelled.
