Rebecca signed a 5-song album deal and is making it her mission to be known as a serious performing artist. The singer told the AP that she hopes to be respected. She said, “I don’t want to be known as the `Friday’ girl. Hopefully, I can be known as Rebecca Black and not the `Friday’ girl. I want to be a performing artist. That’s what I’ve always wanted to do.”To date, Rebecca Black has landed more than 118 million views on YouTube.
