Introducing…Nelson and Eddy Angelil! The names of Celine Dion’s newborn twin boys are no longer a secret. The French-Canadian singer announced what she and husband Rene Angelil will call their sons in a Canadian TV interview taped Oct. 13, 10 days before she gave birth. As reported at CTV, the couple explained their name picks: “Nelson” is a tribute to South African anti-apartheid hero Nelson Mandela; “Eddy” is named after French songwriter Eddy Marnay. Marnay, who died in 2003, helped launch Dion’s music career after he heard her sing at just 13 years old and agreed to produce a song for her.
