Best of 2014: The hottest and sexiest Latino stars of the year
A lot can happen in 12 months and with the end of this year approaching it’s a great time to sit down and reminisce on some of the best gems of 2014.
As 2015 sneaks up on us, here’s a recap of 10 of the hottest and sexiest Latino stars of the year.

James Rodriguez

After making his mark at the World Cup this year, James Rodriguez has been trending in the Latin world. He was labeled as one of the world best soccer players, and if that’s not enough, the Colombian sensation was also named the “Sexiest Man of the Year” by People en Español.

Gina Rodriguez

Puerto Rican actress Gina Rodriguez should be jumping for joy as she has been nominated at the Golden Globes for Best Actress in a Comedy or Musical Series for her role as Jane in “Jane the Virgin.” The sitcom, which is an English adaptation of the Venezuelan version “Juana la Virgen,” has also received a nomination for Best Comedy or Musical Series. It has become quickly popular airing worldwide in places such as Australia.

Romeo Santos

The bachata king has been killing it this year –GRAMMY or no GRAMMY. He recently left his mark at the 88th annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, becoming the first bachata singer to present at the event. Santos also got an invite from President Obama and Lady Michelle to perform at the White House.

Chiquis Rivera

After the tragic loss of her mother Jenni Rivera in 2012, Chiquis has managed to stay busy. Aside from her own reality web series and fashion blog, she is soon to release a book about her life and relationship with her mom, squashing unnecessary and false rumors. Chiquis also managed to debut her first single, “Esa No Soy Yo” earlier this year when she performed at Premios Juventud.

Pedro Pascal

Chilean-born actor Pedro Pascal made a splash in the entertainment world for his role in the highly rates TV show, Game of Thrones. He portrayed Oberyn Martell, a warrior prince in the house of Martell known as the “Red Viper.” Producers are set to continue developing the Martell story, which means more Hispanics will most likely be casted. Kudos to Pascal for opening up that door to Latino actors everywhere!

Zoe Saldana

This 36-year-old Dominican beauty always stays busy and this year has been no different. Aside from coming out in both “Guardians of the Galaxy” and “The Book of Life,” in addition to working on other upcoming flicks, Saldana and husband Marco Perego already have their hands full with twins!

Enrique Iglesias

The Spanish hunk has had a successful year when it comes to his music. He released his tenth studio album, “Sex+Love.” Two of the albums’ singles, “El Perdedor” and “Loco” reached the top of the charts. Just when he started celebrating the success, he released “Bailando” alongside Descemer Bueno and Gente D’Zona, which shot up to the No.1 spot on the Latin tracks chart. It’s also the first non-English top 10 radio hit since 1996 with Los del Rio’s “Macarena.”

The sexy 40-year-old Spaniard keeps getting hotter with age. Not only was she considered as the new bond girl but also landed Esquire’s “Sexiest Woman Alive” spot for 2014. Did we also mention that she is married to Javier Bardem? Talk about the perfect couple!

Gael Garcia Bernal

Known for his impressive roles, Mexican actor Gael Garcia Bernal appeared in a new kind of acting light this year when he decided to take part in Calle 13’s “Ojos Color Sol” music video. His kissing scene with Spanish actress Maria Valverde wrapped up Bernal’s romantic side in the most perfect way. He also starred in Jon Stewart’s film “Rosewater.”

No stranger to the spotlight, Jennifer Lopes knows exactly how to age. Twenty-fourteen has been a big year to the 45-year-old mother of two. Her year recaps like this: Teaming up with the online site Body Lab, releasing a scandalous “Booty” video, and now celebrating the new year with an HBO special called “Jennifer Lopez: Dance Again,” a high-energy documentary/concert.
