AMAZING: Last Night The New England Patriots Cheerleaders Wore An OPPOSING PLAYER’S JERSEY…And The Reason Why Might Make You Hate The Patriots A Little Less
This is AMAZING.
It’s not every day that you see an NFL team’s cheerleaders rocking an opposing players jersey…but this was a special exception.
Ok, I’ll be the first to admit that I am far from being a New England Patriots fan. But this was such a touching and classy thing for the Patriots organization to do, I can’t NOT give them props.
We all now that the NFL shows incredible support for Susan G. Komen throughout the month of October, as it is breast cancer awareness month. But cancer has affected one of the leagues own as well. Cincinnati Bengals defensive tackle Devon Still has shown incredible strength while his young daughter battles stage 4 pediatric cancer. He has been raising money for pediatric cancer through the sale of his jersey, and even shared this video of his pep talk before her surgery.
The NFL has shown a huge amount of support, including New Orleans Saints coach Sean Payton, who helped contribute by purchasing 100 of Still’s #75 jerseys.
But last night the New England Patriots showed their support on Sunday Night Football in such an incredibly touching way: by giving the jerseys to their cheerleaders after a tribute to Still in the stadium.
And it was so amazing, it even brought a tear to Still’s eye.
Also, Patriots owner Robert Kraft will also be contributing to the cause.
Yep, never thought I’d say this but….classy move New England Patriots. *thumbs up*
