Joan Rivers in Critical Condition

Quick-witted comedian Joan Rivers was rushed to the hospital after she stopped breathing during throat surgery at a clinic TMZ reports.

According to CNN, 81 year-old Rivers was rushed in critical condition to Mt. Sinai Hospital in New York City.

Rivers has been recently promoting her new book, Diary of a Mad Diva.
