Plainfield High School Football Players Causing Controversy! No Big Deal or Inappropriate?

Members of the Plainfield High School football team have caused some controversy. A picture has surface from over the weekend of several players standing on top of a police vehicle while holding tear gas bean bag launchers!

The launchers belong to the Indiana State police and were not made aware of the photo op. The Indiana State Police released a statement saying, “The Indiana State Police is reviewing its protocol on future community outreach events to ensure all parties understand the scope of our participation and what police equipment may be displayed or handled by the public in the presence of our personnel.”

Some people are upset about this picture while others say that it is no big deal (see tweets below). Is this picture appropriate or was it a stupid idea on their part to take it?
