GOSSIP: Vanessa Williams Joins Desperate Housewives Next Season
I was rather disappointed when Ugly Betty got cancelled, but Vanessa Williams didn’t waste ANY time finding another gig. And she didn’t need to look far, either. She’s staying with ABC, and joining next season’s cast of Desperate Housewives.
Housewives creator Marc Cherry asked Williams to join the series and she was pleased — to say the least. Word is she will be stirring things up on Wisteria Lane.
Cherry spoke with TV Guide magazine and had this to say about the addition to the show, “I’m a big fan of Vanessa’s work and I’m so excited that she’ll be moving into the neighborhood next season to cause trouble in all the ladies’ lives.”
