Chris Brown Says “I’M QUITTING MUSIC After My Next Album”
After he spent just about 45 minutes in jail on Monday for a hit and run, Chris Brown took to Twitter Tuesday morning to announce that he’s quitting music.
“Don’t worry, mainstream America,” Brown wrote. “After this X album, it’ll probably be my last album.”
“Being famous is amazing when it’s for your music and talent,” he continued. “I’m tired of being famous for a mistake I made when I was 18. I’m cool and over it!”
(His tweets were later deleted….typical….)
Of course he’s referring to his 2009 assault of his then-girlfriend Rihanna. She says she has since forgiven him for the incident, but obviously he thinks no one else has.
Chris isn’t the first musician to make such a declaration about retiring from the industry. And he certainly wouldn’t be the first to say they are going to quit, but never actually does.
So is this a publicity stunt? I guess we’ll find out after his possibly last album “X” is released on Aug. 26.
