Katy Perry Texts Kristen Stewart “Rob And I Are Just Friends!”
According to Hollywood Life, after Katy Perry came out to support her friend Robert Pattinson through his breakup with Kristen Stewart (who Katy was also friends with), Kristen reportedly felt “betrayed” and stopped talking to Katy altogether. But in a new interview with ELLE UK, Katy reveals that she tried to clear the air with Kristen at the time.
“I sent her a text message saying: ‘I know you’ve seen all this stuff but you know I would never disrespect you. I’m not that person,’” Katy says. “I’m just trying to be a friend to him but it is unfortunate that I do have a set of t*ts.’”
It seems like Katy was really trying to be there for Rob, while also doing right by her gal pal Kristen. Which is good right?!
Katy was spotted out with Rob several times after his relationship with Kristen ended in May.
Although Katy was friends with both Rob and Kristen, she has always been closer to Rob, and she realized that he needed a friend after the split.
Sources say that Katy had been really supportive of Rob since he and Kristen split up. She has been his main support during this whole breakup. Kristen has tons of friends that she can lean on, whereas most of Rob’s closest friends are in England.
A source close to the Kristen told HollywoodLife.com, “Rob and Katy have always been better friends and [Kristen] doesn’t think there is any type of romance going on between them.”
Despite Kristen’s brave front, seeing a good friend spend that much time with your ex can’t be easy. So it’s really kind that Katy reached out to reassure K-Stew that her relationship with Rob was strictly platonic.
Now that’s following Girl-Code, and I respect that.
