NATIONAL: Bill Clinton On The New $100 Bill!??

HA!  No, Clinton is NOT on the new $100 bill, its still Ben Franklin.

I found this article interesting though… Isn’t this just a guide for the counterfeiters out there to revise their system? I mean,  below is a step by step description of ALL the changes they made to the new $100 bill. hmm…

The Treasury Department today released a new $100 bill by adding new security feature such as watermark and embedded security threads.

The purpose of the new bill is to make it more difficult for counterfeiters. The old bill will remain in circulation after new bills will be released in the market in February 2011.

According to Timothy Geithner, “Like the previous redesigns of U.S. currency, this bill incorporates the best technology available to ensure that we stay ahead of counterfeiters,”

The bill was brought during the official ceremony at the department of Treasury attended by Timothy Giethner , Treasury secretary, and Ben Bernanke , Federal Reserve Chairman.

The bill comes with security tape that alternating three-dimensional image of bells and 100 numbers is titled to change the viewing angle. It also has the frontal image of bell that change from copper color to green when titled.
