Notre Dame Linebacker Manti Te’o Caught Up in Online Scandal!
In one of the most bizarre stories I’ve ever seen, Notre Dame Linebacker & 2012 Heisman trophy candidate Manti Te’o’s girlfriend never existed. Deadspin.com reported yesterday that Manti and him having a dead girlfriend are a big hoax!
In the fall, it was reported Manti’s girlfriend was battling leukemia and later passed away. Now, it has come out that his girlfriend never existed at all! Teo is saying that he met the girl online and never met her at all. Yet, others are saying Teo knew full well what was going on and was actually a part of the hoax to gain publicity. Sadly, if that is true he used a girl dying from leukemia to gain national attention.
Teo released a statement yesterday saying he was part of a ‘sick joke’ and has been ‘humiliated’ by the actions of others. Whatever happens, the lights are shining brightly in the direction of South Bend, IN and what exactly happened.
