Three new awards to add to his collection might help the newly single Justin Bieber out of his break-up blues. The singer picked up all three of the awards he was nominated for at this year’s American Music Awards on Sunday night. Bringing his mother as his date and bringing her up on stage with him, the Biebs was at a loss for words when accepting the final Artist Of The Year award.

When accepting the first award of the night for Favorite Male Artist – Pop/Rock, Justin said it was for all of his “haters” who thought his success wouldn’t last. He picked up the award for Favorite Album – Pop/Rock as well. Bieber also performed at the awards ceremony, starting out with an acoustic version of “As Long As You Love Me” followed by “Beauty And A Beat,” with an appearance from Nicki Minaj.

Other winners included New Artist Of The Year Carly Rae Jepsen, who performed her new single “This Kiss” and “Call Me Maybe.” Taylor Swift picked up Favorite Country Artist – Female for the fifth time in a row, bringing her total AMAs to eleven. Taylor performed the song “I Knew You Were Trouble” live for the first time as well. Other performances included Pink, who recreated her provocative “Try” video on stage; Kelly Clarkson, who sang a medley of her biggest hits; and Psy, who ended the night with “Gangnam Style” and brought out surprise guest MC Hammer.
